Greene Hill School

Welcome to Greene Hill School, an independent and progressive pre-K through 8th grade school in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn, dedicated to developing expansive learners who are open to a lifetime of self-awareness, high ambition and deep empathy. Our students benefit from small classes, dedicated and attentive teachers who truly know them, and a program that weaves social justice into an academically challenging and rich curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking. Our graduating 8th graders go on to a wide range of excellent high schools. As part of our commitment to economic diversity, Greene Hill School offers sliding scale tuition. This differs from a financial aid model in that every family may opt to participate and pay the tuition amount that is found to be most appropriate for that family’s financial situation. This sets us apart from other independent schools and ensures that our community remains economically diverse.
