The Perkins School

Welcome to The Perkins School!  Our nimble, joyful, and dynamic environment challenges students to think flexibly, work collaboratively, and take risks. With small classes and fluid groupings, our teachers differentiate instruction so that each child is both stretched and supported throughout their educational journey.

BRAVERY: Perkins empowers students to take risks.  When students feel supported, they are able to try out new ideas, learn from both mistakes and successes, and stand up for what they believe in.

CURIOSITY: We know that children are naturally curious about the world around them. Our teachers guide students to expand on their questions, make discoveries, and continue wondering.

EMPATHY: We guide students to lead with curiosity, compassion, and kindness. Through meaningful relationships and exposure to diverse ideas and perspectives, students build a deeper understanding of each other and the world around them.

JOY: We respect the joy (and messiness!) of childhood. School should be a place filled with laughter, ideas, and excitement. Perkins graduates enter middle school with far more than a solid academic foundation. They have a curiosity, eagerness, and love of learning that propels them forward.
