Who we are

 Woodside Priory School logo

WOODSIDE PRIORY SCHOOL is a Catholic Benedictine, independent college preparatory school. Our mission is to assist all students in creating meaningful and balanced lives, developing as lifelong learners and stewards, and productively serving the world in need of their gifts. The core Benedictine values of Community, Hospitality, Individuality, Integrity, and Spirituality are central to the Priory’s mission.

BENEDICTINE EDUCATION IN THE HEART OF SILICON VALLEY

Woodside Priory is a coeducational, college preparatory school that houses both a Middle School (day students; grades 6-8) and an Upper School (day and boarding students; grades 9-12). Around 55 of our 318 Upper School students live on campus in Silicon Valley's only boarding program. Our day and boarding students come from Silicon Valley, the San Francisco Bay Area, and all over the world.

Sitting on 50 acres in the heart of Silicon Valley, Priory offers a 7:1 student/teacher ratio, a strong college preparatory curriculum, a vast performing arts program, and a competitive athletics program. Our faculty are experts in their fields of study, and our classes are intentionally small in order to foster meaningful and developmentally appropriate engagement with our students. Priory’s academic program engages our students rigorously and intentionally. Our robust curriculum engages students in meaningful intellectual discourse and encourages them to venture outside their academic comfort zones.

Our students are surrounded by the innovation and excitement of Silicon Valley, but they live on a campus that fosters a sense of meaning and balance. Priory's mission is to assist all students in creating meaningful and balanced lives, developing as lifelong learners, and productively serving a world in need of their gifts. Students have curricular requirements to participate in visual and performing arts, and are encouraged to explore our athletics program as well. Our welcoming walk-on policy provides all our students with the opportunity to learn invaluable team skills. Priory athletic teams remain very competitive and have won numerous CCS and league championships.
