Welcome to San Francisco Friends School!
Applications for enrollment for the 2026-27 school year will open August 8, 2025.
San Francisco Friends School is a K-8 independent school serving more than 400 students in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco. Our goal is to deliver an outstanding academic education that integrates the Quaker values of simplicity, integrity, mutual respect, service to others, and peaceful problem-solving.
Founded in 2002 by a pioneering group of educators and parents who had a vision to bring the 325-year tradition of Quaker education to San Francisco, this spirit of innovation lives on today. San Francisco Friends School offers a distinctive blend of academic excellence and charter development.
Our rich, dynamic academic program cultivates lifelong learners and adaptable thinkers who will lead with integrity, compassion, and purpose. We believe in human-centered, inquiry-driven, and purpose-filled learning designed to help our students grow into thoughtful, capable, and empathetic individuals.

At San Francisco Friends School, students learn in a community grounded in the Quaker values of reflection, integrity, peaceful problem-solving and stewardship.
