Who we are

The Winsor School is now accepting applications for Fall 2026 admission.

Get started today!

Overview: The Winsor School is an independent, college preparatory, girls' day school for grades 5 through 12. The school seeks students with demonstrated intellectual curiosity, academic ability, motivation, and spirit. Winsor is known for its highly rigorous academic program, robust athletic and artistic opportunities, and city campus in Boston's Longwood Medical and Academic Area.

Entry Points: Winsor's primary entry points are Grade 5 (~30 students), Grade 6 (~30 students), and Grade 9 (~20 students). There are a small number of spots open in Grade 7 and limited openings in Grades 10 and 11. Winsor does not accept applications for Grade 8 and Grade 12 entry. We also do not accept applications for mid-year or short-stay admission.

International Applicants: Winsor does not participate in the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVIS), so we are unable to sponsor visas and cannot accept applications from international students. Applicants living outside of the U.S. must hold U.S. citizenship or possess a green card at the time they file their application to be eligible to apply. If this describes your student's circumstance, please contact the Admission Office for assistance in accessing the domestic application.

Guidelines for Gender Inclusion: The Winsor School is a girls’ school that values diversity, intellectual curiosity, authentic engagement, and personal integrity. Winsor is unwavering in its commitment to preparing young women to pursue their aspirations and contribute to the world. We seek applicants who further the school’s mission and feel they belong in our community dedicated to celebrating and empowering girls and women. Winsor will consider for admission any applicant who identifies as female or any applicant assigned female at birth who does not identify as male. Winsor will always be committed to knowing, valuing, and supporting students throughout their time at the school. Should a current student identify as a different gender while at Winsor, the school will support the student and their family as members of the Winsor community; the student will always have a home here.
