At Town School for Boys, learning is prized, love of school is essential and boyhood is celebrated.

Located in San Francisco, Town School is an all-boys' K-8 independent day school. Since its founding, Town School has been committed to providing the best possible education for boys and is recognized as one of California's leading independent elementary schools. As an all boys’ school, Town provides a rich, challenging and rigorous educational experience that addresses the distinctive energy levels and developmental styles of boys and enables each student to pursue his strengths and fulfill his potential. Town students discover new facets of their identities, develop enduring relationships, and are continuously given opportunities to lead, learn, and grow through the support of a loving and joyful community.

Town School's values of respect, curiosity, belonging, integrity and joy are a throughline that carry each boy through his educational journey, from the first days of kindergarten to his graduation and beyond. We intentionally design experiences that encourage each student to create an expansive personal definition of boyhood and manhood. Our hallways are filled with laughter, expressions of close friendships, helpful acts and curious and imaginative minds.
